History:

The Azimut brand began with humble beginnings in 1969 as a small sailing charter company and has risen to be one of the most successful yacht-building companies on earth. Its first design success was the AZ 43’ Bali, a mass-produced fiberglass boat designed in collaboration with Amerglass. The company gradually expanded its range at both ends of the market, with the AZ 32’Targa in 1977 (the ‘Ford T’ of the boating world) and the Azimut 105’ Failaka in 1982, the biggest mass-produced fiberglass yacht of its time.

In 1985 Azimut Yachts acquired Benetti Yachts, the oldest luxury shipbuilder in the world.
