Juan Luis Serra LaLaurie, was born in Spain and made his home in Mallorca. He has been passionate about sailing since childhood, eventually racing actively in the J80 class. He later worked on his professional licenses and worked as a charter yacht captain for more than 20 years in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Pacific. He is a qualified diving and sailing instructor. When Juan Luis acquired OCEAN PHOENIX, he set about refitting and upgrading her for luxury charter, outfitting her to be safe and comfortable for sailing with guests in all conditions and locations. Dery was born 1983 in Colombia, and always loved the water and cooking. She started her career as a chef on sailing yachts in 2017 and since then, she has logged more than 30,000 nautical miles in the Caribbean and in the Mediterranean, with many happy charter guests. It is Dery's passion to cook with an emphasis on the healthy lifestyle that she favors. Dery always adheres to guest preferences and creates some wonderful dishes that guests look forward to.
