James Greenwood brings over 35 years of Yachting experience with him to join Worth Avenue Yachts. Born in the UK, he stepped out of the box and started his career sailing in the Greek Islands in the 1970’s, before joining larger Vessels and working his way to Captain.

James has endless knowledge of yachting having crossed the Atlantic many times, sailed the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Pacific. One of the highlights of his career was racing 470 class in the Pre-Olympic Trials in Rio.

James worked for a yacht brokerage in Newport, Rhode Island as his first land based position before his move to a large brokerage in Fort Lauderdale where he had a very successful career prior to his move back to the UK.

James believes that buying and selling Yachts should not be a 9 – 5 job, as it takes time to build a relationship with each client individually, commitment to finding the perfect vessel to fit the needs of the client and maintaining a client for future sales. We should provide a personal service to everyone looking to fulfill their Yachting Dream… Size of the vessel is not a concern, a good end result should always be the aim!

James believes an integral part of being a Broker is working with his clients through the whole process and has been successful in building and maintaining strong relationships with surveyors, support personnel, owners and crew members.

James has most recently been working from the South of France, Palma and London with the accolade of selling two Superyachts to one client within one year! James plans to continue his success with his longstanding client base and bringing new listings to the Worth Avenue Yachts team.
