Joseph Dwyer grew up in Rhode Island where he was involved in sailing and racing at a young age. At 19 he was involved in his first America’s Cup program in Fremantle, Australia. After the 1987 Cup he mated and raced on numerous well pedigreed yachts (including J Boats, Maxi’s and large racer/cruisers). After his involvement in the 1992 America’s Cup in San Diego, Joe joined The Rigging Company specializing in yacht rigging and hydraulics while continuing to race and deliver yachts worldwide.

Joe shifted to the banking industry with RBS/Citizens Bank USA conducting portfolio lending until moving to The Hinckley Company in 2013 where he began what has become his true calling, creating lasting relationships while connecting buyers and sellers of fine yachts. Joe specializes in both brokerage and new construction yacht sales.  Joe has worked alongside many new construction projects including Hinckley and Hunt Ocean Series Yachts.

With almost 40 years in the yachting industry, Joe provides a wealth of knowledge and professionalism which allows him to provide an enthusiastic and memorable sales experience.

Joe holds a USCG Masters License and is an active member of the New York Yacht Club as well as the Storm Trysail Club.
