William Baldwin was born and raised on shores of Southern Connecticut.  By the age of 8 he was a self-taught sailor and would later go on to race in several one-design classes at a national level.  His love of sailing prevailed and from 2006-2014 he led a charter company focused on performance racing and cruising. Over the last 25 years, Will has raced and cruised sailing vessels in the 12m-52m range as well as delivered multiple sailing and motor yachts of similar size. Experience as a Chief Engineer gave Will a deep understanding of the demands of yacht operations and logistics. In addition, his time aboard superyachts has given him extensive cruising knowledge of the East Coast of the US and Canada, as well as the Pacific Northwest, Turkey, Greece, the French and Italian Riviera’s including the Balearics, Sardinia and Corsica, plus Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos, USVI, BVI and the Windward and Leeward Islands.

Prior to working in yachting, Will built and led the sales efforts of two of the largest post-production facilities in the film and television industry.  Soon after attending New York University Will started PostWorks New York, which would ultimately grow to occupy more than 300,000 square feet of prime New York real estate. When asked about the relationship between the yachting and film industries, Will described post-production much like a yacht: a system with a thousand moving parts, all of which need to function perfectly in a complicated and often challenging environment.  At Deluxe in Vancouver, he continued the successful track record that he had established at PostWorks, leading and motivating sales teams and service personnel balancing the logistics of scheduling, engineering and accounting, all while communicating and coordinating with multiple divisions world-wide.

Back in his home waters of New England, Will is excited to join the Worth Avenue team in Newport.  As an active member of New York Yacht Club, he has a deep appreciation for the club’s rich history in yachting.  Will looks forward to utilizing his extensive knowledge to provide clients with the best possible experience when purchasing or selling their yacht.
